Code 33 on my '91 SD TPI
Well guys, I was telling you about the stumbling problem I was having sometimes. Now it will idle down really low sometimes and then die soemtimes too. When it idles down I try to give it more gas but it seems to have no effect, but sometimes pulls through. Anyways, I haven't checked fuel pressure or anything yet but I got a code 33 a few minutes ago and I checked it and it said HIGH VOLTAGE/LOW VACUUM at MAF or MAP. I have a MAP of course with my SD TPI so is there any way to check the MAP out or what? I'm going to go check to see if there are vacuum lines on the MAP(I can't remember). Any suggestions on what to do? THANKS for any help!!!

OK, but where are my MAP relays at? I guess this would be similar to replacing that cheap MAF burnoff relay compared to buying that EXPENSIVE MAF sensor. Hopefully those relays or MAP will fix it. Where are those relays though? THX! Anyone else??? Also, is there anyway to test the MAP semsor?

Uhh... what MAP relays? My guess would be a crack in the vacuum line that goes from the plenum to the MAP sensor.

So are there any MAP relays? I'll check those vacuum lines. Isn't there one between the MAP and FPR also? It might be plastic though. Well, I'm open to more help!!

There are no MAP relays. Definatly check the vacuum lines from the Plenum to all the accessories they go to.

THX guys. I think that the reason for the code is because it was idling down to like 400 or so and this caused very low vacuum. I cleares the codes and drove it some more but it hasn't returned. Me and my dad looked at it last night and the IAC,TPS, and MAP vacuum lines were fine, but the EGR may be screwed up. I think this is why I had such a horrible idle sometimes and I think it could cause stumbling when it screws up. What you guys think? THX! Later
