Vortec heads and intake

Hey im new to this site and i was wondering if u guys could answer a question 4 me. I have a 1989 305 TPI T5 iroc and i was considering this new vortec baseplate and vortec heads. I searched 4 hours and could find the info i was looking for! Any help would freakin rock. Just looking 4 general info and what not. Thanks!

?? And here I throught vortec heads would bolt on to any small block Chevy

they do.

your 305 doesnt need them. vortec 305 heads suck.... not even worth them. they dont flow and are a waste of iron. vortec 350 heads are great if they are the newer castings made in 96 till now on vans/trucks. the 350 votec head will bolt on your engine but the head has to be milled to 58cc combustion chamber. the chamber will be kinda big for the small bore of the 305, and it requires a 350 head gasket still. your 305 doesnt need those heads, they flow to much for it and are a bad match. your better off with WORLD 305 SR TORQUER heads.... they are designed for 305s and they give u a good bit of hp/tq for about 600$ assembled.

as i said before.... no! not for your 305.
