Quick question about replacing TPS

Car: '91 Z28
Engine: 305 TPI
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 2.73
Quick question about replacing TPS
Does it need any tuning like moving up and down or just put it on the car and tighten the two bolts up?
the reason i ask is that the car smoothed out alot but idle seems to be a bit high now in P, 1000-1100. Check engine went away though, and doesn't smell rich.

It has to be adjusted properly. I believe there's a write-up on how to set it, under Technical Articles on the home page.
