Thanks for all the info! I appriciate everything!

Haha I’ll be the first to say that Im mostly lost when it comes to engines. I want to build this right and make sure I go through the right steps and use the right parts.

Re: Punzak9’s L98 350 rebuild

Ok, so without starting a new thread this should finally be making a little progress this week when i drop it off at the shop. Its going to be a slower build, but Im ok with that. I can take my time, have it built right and keep the 305 in the car till the day before I decide its time to swap. After a ton of reading and research throughout the forum, going over other members builds, I have somewhat of a plan and an overall goal in mind that I'm going for.

I was back and forth about a 350 or going 383, but I decided to stay 350. The extra cost of the bore and new bottom end when I could reuse the 350 parts doesnt make sense, let alone all the other pieces of the car that would need changed going to that much power. Im just looking for fun weekend cruising, not racing. The other piece that Im set on is going to a FIRST fuel injection system. I know the pros and cons and the arguments for going HSR or mini ram instead. But I like the stock look and the big torque feel that the FIRST offers. I would much rather have a fun light to light car and give a little up top than the other way around. Heads and cam will come after the bottom is put together and I will be searching for advice there on a good combo to run with a 350/First system.
