slp runners

I am looking to get a set and would like to know if it helped any ones higher rpm range. I don't expect a lot from the but, I hope they would help me with the 4500 rpm up range even 500 rpm can make a big differance. also is any one thinking of doing an slp group purchase on these again?

Yes, Mine made a difference on my L98 motor and I felt no loss of low end torque. Actually seemed easer to smoke the tires after the swap.

How much more can you spin it tell you start to loose power? I was thinking of geting these because with my 5 speed I spend most of my time between 4000-5000 rpm and any help there would be great!

I have heard bad stories about SLP runners. That is why I haven't bought them.

I've heard lots of "bad things" about lots of products but I like to listen to data and facts. My stock L98 motor with ported stock plenum and SLP runners, no tranny mods and in my heavy, fully loaded RS convt ran 13.81@98.96mph. I feel that the car pulled better up to the redline of 5500 than with the stock runners. The SLPs are shorter length runners, thus moving the power band higher. However I hope someone can weigh-in with some before and after data for you, not speculation.

If you get the SLPs, I suggest that you siamese them and the intake as is described in the tech article on this site. That ability as well as their cost gives them an advatage over other runners IMO.
