High idle??
High idle??
whenever I put my car in park after driving it, the idle goes between 1000 and 1500 RPMs. (This seems kind of high?) But if I just tap the gas so the engine revs up for a split second, the idle will drop betrween 500 and 1000 RPMs
Is this normal or is there a problem?? see sig. for more info the car has done this ever since the rebuild.
Let me know if you need more info. Thanks

I would guess one of the following:
1. Your throttle body is worn out and the shaft is sticking. When the car is idling high, get out, open the hood and see if you can close the throttle. If you have a scanner you can see what the TPS is.
2. Your minimum idle setting is too high.
3. Idle air motor is stuck. (Although kicking the throttle up and down should not effect this)
4. You are running a cold thermotstat and the computer thinks the car is still cold.
Mark.
