i have a 85 trans am 305 tpi , i am swithing the block to a 72 camaro z28 350 , its board 60 0ver and im getting a mild cam , domed pistons tp raise the stock compression from 8:1 to 10:1 porting and polishing the 194 heads hooker headers and flowmaster exaust and putting the tpi system with 89 nvette injectors . i was wondering if i have to burn a new custom chip to run this engine or just get a 350 chip . and was wondering what the estimated horse power would be and the 1/4 mile , plus 1m using a turbo 400 and 342 posi rear end

 

That engine will need a scoggin' dickey intake, unless you are using newer heads on it. A stock chip will work, but will not give you optimal power, and may run rough. I suggest a custom burnt chip, or Accel engine management system.

As for power, it all depends, I would say between 300 and 350 horse at least. But, like I said, its hard to say.
