Car: 89 formula
Engine: yup its in there
Transmission: no ,i had my shots
hard shifting

I`ve got a 89 305 firebird 8o,ooo mi at slow speeds the first to second shift takes forever the shifts real hard to second but if I floor it it seem to shift way to fast .fluid and filter changed 6 mo ago tried adjusting cable no luck also noticed today it will not kick down at any speed any thoughts thanks

Axle/Gears: 8.8 with 3.73s
It could possibly be the vehicle speed sensor. Buy a new one, stick it in. If it doesn't help then just return it.

alot of places have a no return policy on electrical stuff..only exchanges.

Any results on this problem? We are experiencing a similar phenomenon on my brother's 81 Zed with a 700R4....
