Why does an '86 V6 T5 have odd ratios?
Looking at
https://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/t...ulations.shtml
I see all '85-'88 V6 T5's have the same ratio except for '86. Specifically,
4:03 2.37 1.50 1.00 0.78
For '86 it is,
3.50 2.14 1.36 1.00 0.78
The following link gives ratios for all '85-'91 V6 as being the same. The ratio sighted is in very close agreement with the '85-'88 ratios given by thirdgen.

OK, which is true? Is '86 really an oddball?? Why???

More info...
My transmission is defintely an '86 and the model number is correct for a '86 camaro V6 (1352-156). I just checked and the 1st gear ratio is ~4:1. This suggests that the thirdgen information is incorrect and '86 is not an odd ball.
