Engine: 305 tbi (currently)
Transmission: B/W 5spd
2nd gen rear diff in a 3rd gen

will a rear diff out of a 70-81 f-body fit as far as width under our 3rd gens?

it sure will,i had a custom bracket made for the tq arm for many years however my new set up will utilize another bar that is adjustable to allow pinion angle adjustments welded to the tubular LCA and to the rear end housing do it your self it should not cost more than 400.00

Which one? They used both the 12-bolt and 10-bolt. The 10-bolt is by far the most common though.
