Idles fine but no "GO"
I posted this question in the general engine/tech board, but after talking with co-workers I think this might be a tranny problem.
The engine idles fine, and with the car parked the engine seems to rev fine. However, out on the road it's a dog... I mean 10 seconds or more from the time I floor the gas pedal til the time it really starts to get the RPMS above 3k. Needless to say it is frustrating..
Any thoughts?? One person suggested the "accelerator pump"...
it is a 305 with a rebuilt A4 4L60 tranny
Thanks

Accelerator pump? Do you have a carb or TPI? Last time I checked the LB9 was TPI. Make sure the tv cable is PROPERLY adjusted and take it for a test drive.

It's a stock a TPI 305. I have adjusted the TV cable several times. All with same affect, nothing.

Car: 85 camaro sport coupe
Engine: 2.8 MFI
Transmission: v6 700R4 wish it was a 5spd Stick
Axle/Gears: Stock non posi 3.42s
if it was the trans the RPMs would spike immediatly and the car would move slow. sounds like your engine is bogging real bad. Check the TPS cause i know on my MPFI car if the TPS is out of adjustment it will bogg till it gets up in the RPMs.
