I recently bought a 87 iroc and when i put it in reverse it makes a loud sound .I can see under the car that there is a bar going along side the driveshaft and where it connects to the tranny it seems to move up and down is it supposed to do that.

might want to try a search before you post or even looking a little more into the problem. i think another member ask this before. have you looks at your trans mount? might want to consider an ES poly one ,pretty much bullet proof.
