Bellhousing for???

Can anyone Identify this bellhousing? I picked it up yesterday at the Spring Carlisle swap meet. The guy said it would bolt to a T5 and a Chevy 350. I'm comparing it to other pictures and it does not look right. I can't seem to find any number on it either. It looks very similar to this one.

Re: Bellhousing for???

It looks like it could bolt a t-5 or any other gm 4 or 3spd as they use the same pattern. However it is not a f body bell, you can tell be cause the trans bolt pattern is straight, and the f-body has a 17 degree lean towards the driver side.

the pic is definitely an f-body bellhousing, its the only one that i know of that uses the hydraulic slave bracket. but the bolt pattern is straight up, is it a v6 bellhousing?

Re: Bellhousing for???

that almost 99.99% is not a v8 bell. Like 86 said, its a straight up mounting pattern.

Re: Bellhousing for???

I was thinking maybe it's from a truck. Damn guy sold it to me telling me it would work in my 3rd gen Camaro. I had a feeling it wouldn't work, but I trusted him and he turns around and rips me off.

Re: Bellhousing for???

It is a V8 bellhousing, but its not for an F-body... at least, not a 3rdgen anyway. The fork location is the giveaway - it comes out the side like that on the older cars and trucks, but the 3rdgen ones had the fork in the 7 or 8 o' clock position because the old style at 9 o' clock would hit the trans tunnel.

Its for a 4-spd/V8 something, but not a 3rdgen.

Re: Bellhousing for???

I saw this one on ebay. It has the slave cylinder bracket and it's for a V8 truck.
