T56 tranny
Can I put a T56, 6 speed manual transmission in my car ?
No, it will require a custom made bell housing and there are other small but important differences that one will not think of until the problems arise ..
The 6 speed transmission sounds exotic, but it’s of no use anyway, since there won’t be much gain if there is any at all and the extra weight will definitely make the car slower …
please tell me there joking!!

What kind of car do you have ? I looked into the swap, and I was under the impression that as long as you took pretty much *all* the parts from the donor car, the installation was pretty straightforward so long as swaps went.
I thought the t-56 bell housing fit, and the only snag I knew of was using the digital speedomoter with my mechanical speedo.

Car: 88 GTA
Engine: 350, 383
Transmission: T-56 & 700R4
Where was that info posted? Yikes.
The T-56 will bolt to any GM bolt pattern engine. BOP engines will require an adaptor.
As for the mechanical speedo, Jags That Run offers a modified tail housing for use of a the T-5 mechanical (cable) sender. $300 w/exch.
