will car shift into 4th at WOT?

Car: 1991 Camaro RS
Engine: GMPP 350 HO w/TBI
Transmission: 700R-4
Axle/Gears: 10-bolt w/3.73s
will car shift into 4th at WOT?
lest say that i am at the track, and i cross the line with a trap speed of 95 mph, and i am still in 3rd gear. if that is at or near my redline, and i am still in 3rd, will the tranny shift into 4th gear at WOT? or will it just redline and stay in 3rd and let the rev limited kick in?
the reason i ask this is becuase i am redoing my rear end, and if i went with 3.42s, i wont run out of (3rd) gear until about 105 mph, but with 3.73s, i will run out of gear at about 95mph. if i was ever to have a trap speed above 95, then would it shift into 4th? i am kinda coinfused on this.
do i even want the car to sift into 4th when running the 1/4?

SLP along with a few others sell a kit that will let your car shift into 4th at WOT. Check Jeg's or Summit.

I have the B and M piece from summit that is supposed to enable a full throttle 4th upshift, however, I was doing 130 in overdrive at 3/4 throttle and when I dipped into the secondaries I almost blew the motor when the car downshifted. Needless to say I wasnt impressed. you DONT want OD at the track! stick with the 3.42 gear, your converter should make it feel like a 3.73

well there is only one way to find out hammer it on the highway and see if it shifts mine does. and if you want it to shift into 4th at WOT then buy the gm part that does it my tranny is original and it upshifts into 4th at full throttle then agian it had a vette servo in it stock too. you should wind out 3rd pretty quick so it is not that big of a deal. 120 mph is not really that fast on the highway. now in town 120 is too fast. just be safe and be careful there are no cops arround.

I just read a post on the FAQ and this guy said that if your tranny won't shift into 4th gear at WOT to buy the GM upshift kit #8673948.
