tcc lost

before my drivetrain swap my tcc grabbed low and gas me excellent gas mileage. this one feels like i have to stay on the gas to keep going. is this normal for a tpi? i just changed the tcc solenoid and it didnt feel any different. no chunks in the pan by the way. i tried grounding it and it still made no difference. this transmission shifts very nicely otherwise. can feel every shift as it should be, not to hard and not too soft. adjusted my tv cable correctly. really dont have the time or place to swap the transmission back so is there any sure fire way to know whats bad?

Re: tcc lost

i can do from 60- 80 depending on hills at 2000 rpm? is that normal? and i dont mean big hills i mean any incline. also i noticed the rpms drop 500 rpms then sits for a second then drops another 300-400 rpms almost like a reverse tcc. acts like its locking when i get off the go pedal if you will.
