3-4 snap ring on 700-R4

So I installed Alto 3-4 clutch pack in my tranny and there isn't enough clearance for the original setup. The kit came with a .062" snap ring to allow for the proper clutch clearance. My original snap ring is .093"

If I use the .062" ring obviously it has some slight free-play in the case groove. Has anyone had a problem with this snap ring breaking out of the groove because of the free-play? Should I go with a different backing plate and use the .093" snap ring?

You will be fine using the thinner snap ring.

Well it's together now. Hopefully I won't blow parts all over the inside of the trans with the first hard shift.

Nah...I've ran them behind some big HP engines without any problems.
