Need T56 rebuild parts...
Being in Canada is a hassle when you're a car guy.
I have no 4th gear (assuming bent fork, but not 100% certain as I've never had 4th, bought the trans used from a drag racer who swore it was good)
I tried the gearbox for parts... Apparently nothing in stock
I looked at Tick, they ship UPS. a $62 shipping fee very quickly turns in to $120plus with UPS. I will not buy parts if they come UPS, as we get burned with hidden fees every single time... This means I go without parts, but I won't give UPS the satisfaction. I emailed Tick about this, we will see if they can ship USPS.
D&D performance, I attempted to order and see what shipping was, but I received a message stating items are unable to ship to my location. No e-mail address for them, so I'll see with a phone call what's up with that.
I guess I could try Hawks and get my tick parts through them as I'm pretty sure they have shipped USPS for me before.
Where else should I look? Will Scoggin Dicky have rebuild kits?

OP, your experience sounds just like mine regarding no 4th gear. I need to to do a rebuild on mine as well.

Re: Need T56 rebuild parts...
input and output seals obviously.
a 3-4 synchro assembly http://www.ddperformance.com/bs1-3-4-synchro-assembly/
Steel 3-4 shift fork
DD perf has a synchro rebuild kit, but it doesn't include the 3-4 outer blocker rings... Which I'm assuming I will need, since more than likely, the blocker ring for 4th has the teeth rounded off. This is their synchro kit: http://www.ddperformance.com/bs45-synchro-rebuild-kit/
Is there anything else I obviously need?
There's no indication yet that the 4th gear itself is damaged (no shavings/chips the last time I Drained the fluid)

Re: Need T56 rebuild parts...
I always recommend tear down before parts ordering.
New iron 3-4 fork -aftermarket is fine.
You gonna do bronze fork pads?
Billet keys?
4th blocker nearly never loses teeth. The crappy shift fork doesn't move the slider far enough to do that Lol
Full set of blocker rings are a good idea while apart.
Seals are easy to come up with.
Curious, Who are your major auto parts stores?
BTW, 3-4 blocker rings are single-piece. Maybe you're seeing a lack of 1-2 outers? If you figure out what TGB is "out of stock" on, you can probably source it easy enough. It's not easy to see out of stock on their site

Re: Need T56 rebuild parts...
Hawks actually has their rebuild kit on sale at the moment for $390, with my couple of upgrade options I'm at $550.
The kit has billet 3-4 keys, bronze fork pads etc... It's essentially the TICK kit.
I could pull it apart before ordering, but then I have parts spread out on my bench and I can't do anything else job wise. Eventually I'll be putting down in the 450rwhp range so all this stuff has to be upgraded anyways.
We really only have NAPA up here, and mark up is huge with parts stores here.
I've never been inside a transmission, I'm a bit nervous about the rebuild, however you only really learn by doing, and considering that in my trade I do some fairly technical stuff (machining, precision metal work, aircraft composite part repair/fab) I should be capable of getting it done. I like doing work in a systematic, clean, organized fashion so that helps.
Thanks for the input btw.

Did you try Rockland Standard Gear? That is where I get a lot of my manual transmission parts. They have some heavy duty T56 parts. This also might help. http://www.tremec.com/anexos/TRSM_T56_0711.pdf
