Clutch Pivot Ball information

The Car is a 1984 Z28 with a T5 Trans. Engine is now a built up Stock late model 350 roller, one piece seal block. A new GM Flywheel for the one piece seal block. Centerforce Duel Fiction Clutch. The rest is pretty much Stock parts.

The Problem is I am getting High Clutch engagement on the pedal. After taking the clutch and flywheel out and measuring the pivot ball to bell housing distant. Information was used from Centerforce to compare.

I found my Flywheel was a little thicker that what is normally found. This was a new GM Flywheel when I put the car together the last time. So I figured I would use an Adjustable Pivot Ball. I tried a MrGasket and a Lakewood.. but found that both have a incompatible thread pitch. They would not thread in. The Adjustable ones have Finer thread and the stock 1984 Z28 bell housing has a Corse thread pitch.

Does anyone know for a stock 1984 Bell Housing... is there a compatible Adjustable Pivot Ball ?

Who makes it and part numbers.. or what have you done to fix this pivot ball length ?

Thanks

Re: Clutch Pivot Ball information

The third gen pivot ***** have a unique thread as you have learned. As far as I know no one makes an adjustable one with that thread. There are however adjustable throwout bearings that will do the same thing. The only issue is that I believe the shortest dimension is the same as the short gm bearing. A phone call or two might be necessary for confirmation. The two that I know of are: https://www.novak-adapt.com/catalog/...wout-bearings/, and the http://www.mcleodracing.com/index.ph...pns-30633.html.
