T5 mechanical vs hydraulic clutch bellhousing

T5 mechanical vs hydraulic clutch bellhousing
I've been doing a ton of research about converting the t5 in an 83 TA from mechanical to hydraulic linkage. I know I need the pedal assembly and obviously master/slave cylinders. I can't find anyone who mentions the bellhousing they use when they do the swap. Does anyone know if factory hydraulic linkage will bolt right onto an 83 bell? Or do i need to the bellhousing from an 84+ t5.

You sure it's a T5 not a T10? Ive never heard of a z-bar T5. Consider a hydraulic throw-out bearing instead of a slave?

The 83 T-5 had Z-bar linkage. It SUCKED I changed mine to hyd in about 86; the instant I first came across a totalled 84 in the buzzard nest. (The interior part of collecting the swap was ... macabre)
The BH is different. The hyd one has a boss on the side to bolt the slave cylinder to
The pedals are also different. Different enough that I don't think they can realistically be adapted.
Just get all that stuff out of any 84-92 V8 Camaro or Firebird. Your trans, clutch, starter, etc. will all bolt right up.
Can't offer any wisdom re. hydraulic slave cylinders.

Re: T5 mechanical vs hydraulic clutch bellhousing
You need the 84-92 V8 third gen bellhousing to go 84-92 master / slave.
The earlier pedals (82-87? had the same neutral safety switch as your 83 up high. Later had one off to the left.
Pedal support rods (bolt to the pedal swing bolt up top, and to the two master cylinder studs) are not something to skip, In case you run into already-removed parts without them.
