Converting from Turbo 350 to 700r4 tranny
Hey guys....got a question but i'm looking to remove the turbo 350 tranny from my 82 trans am and install a 700r4. Are these both fairly interchangeable? Or are there any additional parts I would need to replace (outside of the tranny itself)? Just curious before I dive into this project. Thanks!

Your car lacks one of the holes for the 700 crossmember (farther back); needs to be added, but needs to be more than just drilling and tapping the sheet metal, the factory used "cage" nuts but other strategies will work. Drive shaft needs to be shortened. Will need a TV cable installed. Will need some method of controlling converter lockup.
