What clutchs to use in 700r4 rebuild

I will be rebuilding or having my trans rebuild out of my 91. My question is this what are the best clutchs and steels to use? I found a place for the rebuild but they said they were going to use rebestos clutchs and i dont know if thee are any good. any opinions would be greatly appreciated. Should i get stock or hi energy clutchs ? my car is stock exept for a 350 caprice crate long block. Im just looking for reliablity mostly. thanks guys

Use Borg-Warner Hi-Energy clutches in the 3-4 and 2-4 band, everywhere else stock Borg-Warner clutches work out well. Make sure you install the Viton input to output shaft seal, not the plastic one. This guarantees oil to the rear planet. Use the latest sun shell from GM. Install the turbulator low drag steels in the reverse input & in the low/reverse clutch pack. For performance type shifts add the Trans-Go Performance Shift kit. If you not looking for performance shifts, then at a minimum the Trans-Go Junior Shift kit as this will still address the TV system. Make sure that this person who is building your transmission is familiar with Trans-Go products and Trans-Go's way of doing/fixing/solving transmission problems, if not you might be doing this again soon, or you could look elsewhere. You might call Trans-Go direct (626 4437456) & ask them for someone in your area of the country that they would recommend if you are not sure who to go to. If you have any questions on this feel free to call me at 800 7763288 M-S 10-6 PST or E-mail me.

I have used Ray's in certain specific applications in the past and if B/W's aren't available I will use the Ray's but, and I think Pro Built will agree, after years (decades really) of building trannies I am sold on B/W's performance and quality and that is why I choose to use them. Cost wise it is all the same to me.
