Flowmaster

i put on a flowmaster last week and it was just a pain, it took a week, a week for the people at my local preformance shop to get me the right muffler, and even then the pipe size didn't match, my father and i had to weld together pipe reducers just to fit the thing, i was not happy about the week of my car sitting on ramps, or the rigging of pipes, but i am very happy with the added performance. so tell me is there a flowmaster that is correct out there for the third gen or am i doomed to change my exhaust? --or are the people working at the parts store just morons?? my question to you.

They do make a flowmaster for our cars , although Im not sure if flowmaster specifically says for 88 camaro 2.8 or just our pipe size ...The guys at the part store your dealing with sound like morons . No your flowmaster should not have been that hard to install . My cusion recently went to the parts store and bought a dynomax for his truck (silverado V6 ) . Well actually , they had to order it for them , but he had it on his truck within like 30s mins . It sounds like the morons at the parts store sold you the V8 one .

I just had a Flowmaster 80 series put on my car, and it welded right up to the stock intermediate pipe (the one between the cat and the muffler). They did have to weld on new tail pipes b/c I originally had two pipes exiting on the driver's side, now it's a pipe on each side. But the guy that installed it said that the 40 series would have allowed my to keep my original setup. Try going to Mieneke, that's where I went. The guys there really new there stuff and the price was good too.
