...but its time for me to move on. Pending job status, the LT1 pulled out of a Vette is replacing the ol 2.8 in my Cam. Its something I've been wanting to do for a while, and i finally have all the resources in order, simply need the money. So, fellow v6'ers, I bid you adieu.

 

congrats, hope the swap goes well and definately keep us posted on it. I'm sure there will be more who might be willing to follow if someone paves the way.

Plans have already changed. Now, she's getting an LT4 and an automatic pulled from a wrecked C4 Vette.

 

Hope the Lt4 works out. You won't be able to complain about power anymore, well, lack of it. I am just going to save up for Vette rather than trying to put a V8 into my thirdgen. I hate hard work. I will go out of my way to avoid anything strenuous or labor intensive so a V8 swap would not be for me.




Is that C4 LT4 swap the same kind of swap as any other TPI V8 swap or is there special concerns with that swap?

 

Well its definitely not gonna drop in, thats for sure. Luckily the guy who I'm getting the motor + tranny from does a lot of custom work, and i've got his help and the use of his garage as soon as i get the cash, so we'll see how it goes. Like I said, i'll definitely document with many pictures

 

Great, because I want to see that. I always think about dropping in a V8, then reality sets in - no cash. LOL.
