What is wrong with timing?

Car: 87 Firebird (Hasselhoff special)
Engine: 2.8L of PURE STOCK POWER
What is wrong with timing?

My car is running the ****s right now. I ckecked the timing and its at about 24*. Ok, so I'll adjust it. I disconnect the est wire and suprise! timing goes to 10* What do I do now?

Engine: A slow one & a fast one
Transmission: A bad one & a good one
Axle/Gears: A weak one & a chained one
That's normal man! Lol...EST disconnected, that's your BASE advance. Stock base advance on these motors is 10 degrees. When you connect the EST, the computer uses electronic timing advance and to see beyond 20 degrees is perfectly normal.

Sounds like you have a problem somewhere else....
