Quick and easy question about injectors.

I was told by someone that the stock injectors mated with a 2.8L were 14 lbs/hr. Can anyone verify this?

-Bonus question
Anyone know what the lbs/hr were for the injectors equipped on the 350 TPIs?

I can answer the bonus question: 22 lb/hr on the stock 350 TPI (19 on the 305 TPI)

So, what do I win????

Sorry, but you can only win if you answer the first question. The answer for the second one only increases the prize.

You would not happen to know what the part number is for the injector on the 350 TPI one, would you? I am pretty sure I got the injectors from a 350 TPI but I just need to make sure.

The part number for the 1986 5.7 Y-bodies was 5235211.
The part number for the 1987 and 1988 5.7 F and Y bodies was 5235302.
The part numbers for the 1989 thru 1992 F-body 5.7 TPI's were 17086544 and 17086545.

These numbers are as found on the injector body.

The stock 2.8l injectors are in the range of 15.5#/hr to 16#/hr.

Ok, now I have #'s on the stock 2.8L injectors ranging from 13 to 15.5/16 lbs/hr. Does anyone really know what they are?

Here is a recent post where 2.8l injectors were flow tested:

https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=263057

Older posts show the same 15.5#/hr - 16#/hr which is the same flow rating of the 3.1l injectors.

The biggest problem with flowing injectors is the conversion from liquid volume to weight. Or from the density of a safe test liquid to gasoline (whatever that may be today). As such the #/hr rating will vary.
