Need Help Asap
i'm in the middle of swapping timing chain covers, and i found that mine bolts to the oil pan, but the other engine i have (from an 88) doesn't, also the water pump i bought for an 88 doesn't match up at all.
anyone have any ideas?

that could be it, the problem was the old cover had a ole in it, but i guess i gotta patch the hole and reuse it

it looks like someone swapped the oilpan and the front cover for some reason
