startup problems
86 firebird 2.8 V6 where to start, Well it won't start after it has warmed up. It Turns over just won't light up. Spark is fine, this is definately a fuel issue but I am not a multiport injection person (old carb man). Put in new fuel pump but it wasn't the problem. Definately not ignition problem as I have replaced almost all of it from the switch out. Gets spark and runs fine till I shut her down. After setting an hour or two it starts and runs fine again. Tried a no-no and heated her up till it wouldn't start then I used a touch of starting fluid on it and it fired right up. Tried this four times and it worked ever time. Once started it has no problem and when it is cold it has no problem starting. Any suggestions?

clean the jets, sounds like the jets are cloggeg a little. it may also be the diaphram in the carb itself that has a slight tear in it, hit the gas a couple of times when it is hot before you go to start it up. this is the only advise that i can give you without me actually seeing the thing do this!
