rough idle and stalling problem
Hey People,
I have the 2.8L V6 Multi-port, and it has a idling and stalling problem. The EGR valve seems to work; with the engine running I push up on the diaphram and the engine RPM drops; as I release the diaphram the RPM returns to normal. The PCV valve was replaced. There are no codes from the "Service Engine Soon" indicator.
I did notice how-ever that the connection near the Evaporative Canistor (purge),gets quite hot, could the problem be inside the canistor?
Any suggestions would be helpful!
Thanks Alot
Ron

The connection at the EVAP canister getting hot is normal. It's an ECM controlled solenoid and gets warm during purge.
Remove your IAC valve from the Throttle Body, clean it and the housing, then install it and drive the vehicle above 40 mph, that should reset everything and get you a better idle.
