car is dieing after replacing intake gasket
so i had a loud leak.. i fixed it.. by replacing the intake gasket..
now... the car dies when stopping..
i think the idle is to low...
if i start it the rpms rise then fall
so i will clean my iac
any other ideas.. its dinner time so i thouh i would ask while i eat

u need to do the idle relearn procedure, i dont have alink for it off hand but search for idle relearn and im sure ill find it.
or u can just wait it out i think it takes something liek a certian number of key on and offs and miles for it to complete the idle relearn.
but this is the reason the car dies when u come to a stop

Idle relearn ..goes like this..start car if auto trans.. block wheels and put car in drive and let it idle until the fan comes on and then goes off and place in park ...shut car off wait a few minutes and restart place in drive again and let it idle for 4-5 minutes.. your done ..manual trans people just let it idle till the fan comes on

Thats once you rehook the battery back up..I would unhook it and then wait a few seconds then rehook it and do the relearn procedure.

its taking a while for the fan to come on... is that normal..
