2.8 build

Ok so ive always wanted a camaro for the longest time my mom had two both 89s. and by the grace of god my friend had an 89 he was looking to get rid of. So i havent really ever messed around with them and im not looking to make it like a drag car or anything so no engine swaps are in the picture. but anyone has a list of parts and things i could possibly do to beef up the car with the engine it has?? idk if thers much you can do with the 2.8 v6 but any help would be greatly appreciated ill be sure to put up picks soon!!!

Just do a search. All of the info you want is in the threads. Also, look at TomP's tune-up guide.

Re: 2.8 build

GM used a 3.4 in the firebird/camaros 93-95 and it is a bolt in swap for the 2.8 using manifolds etc from your 2.8,it's rated at 160 hp.The good thing is you can keep driving your 2.8 until swap is ready and you can keep your 2.8 for a backup or sale it.

Re: 2.8 build

"How quickly plans are forgotten..." Yes,but this is so easy it doesnt make sense to build the 2.8 engine. Yes it will fit your trans, basically it's a factory bored/stroked 2.8 and most everything off the 2.8 will fit it,if you can only find a shortblock.Do a 2.8/3.4 swap search here,I'm sure many guys have done this swap,it will give you the details for f bodies, mine was done to an S10.
