In 20 hours I could have my new camaro!

well, 20 years old....

i'm looking at an 89 rs, 5 speed, v6, manual windows and locks (those were my four wishes, i know, I'm strange)

the body is GREAT, the paint is so so,,, faded on top, good on sides)

I think the interior is great, but I'll know more when I see it tomorrow, I saw it yesterday, but it was dark outside and the interior light didn't work. He fixed them today, so no problems

he's asking $1000, but I'm hoping I can talk him down to $900. I think that's great for a 5 speed.

Nice. Dash is a mangled mess but that's an easy fix. What are your plans for it?

 

I got another dashpad today, and I'm going to restore it to like new condition. My old one was too far gone to repair, but I've cut the speaker boxes out to transplant to the new dashpad that was given to me today

As for the car, I'm going to make it my hooby/fun car. I've just got to Tackle one thing at a time, and eventually it will probably be a daily driver. It's throwing some codes and it doesn't have AC, but it's a solid car that starts, runs and drives great.

I fixed a small rust hole yesterday, and I'm eventually going to repaint it. I can do that myself, so it will just cost me the materials.
I think most of the work that it needs I can do myself, but I might need some professional help fixing the codes and maybe getting the electrical system tweaked (the interior lights won't turn off, so all the bulbs are out so the battery won't run out) I've checked one door switch, i'm going to check the other one tomorrow
