ya i liek the retractable headlights too but dont got em... But the blackouts give my car this meaner lookin attitude. and they were 38 bucks total from jegs... With my luck tho im gonna get pulled over with my blackouts but the look SWEET.
Oh ya i was reading a article somewere a while back and it was a 94 camaro vs a trans am and the TA went 3 miles faster then the camaro and everythign was exactly the same they blamed the camaro loosing on the drag the headlights get.

Hehe, A firebird wishes it looked as mean as my baby! Anyways, FastRS Im taking it you were smart and got the GTS ones. Did I use the 90 degree brackets?? all of the brackets are 90 degree. Ok here is what I did...The brackets that go on where the hood closes I didnt use them You dont need to. I dont even know what they're for actually. Now the ones that you put on the side...Wow, they were a bitch! You have to get them in the EXACT right spot or the covers will not look right. The double sided tape that you get is a JOKE. It was hell to use, and I put the brackets off a little so I had to rip them off along with some of my paint
and then went to auto zone and got some more tape. So after I got the light covers on everything was fine. I dont have the black outs Ive got the carbon fiber style ones. So my lights shine a little brighter than yours should. But I take mine off at night because its hard to see without the HBs on and the covers dont block enough light for me to be able to run around all the time with my HBs on. So I just take them off at night. They are real simple to take off...Putting them back on is a little harder. Oh and a cop hasnt ever pulled me over (for the covers
). A cop that lives near me drives a new Z28
and he loves my covers on my car. He said a cop could pull me over if he was on his period that week
hehehe. But he said most cops wouldnt bother me. I hope you love your blackouts as much as I love mine!!! Let me know how it turns out. Oh, and I also take them off when it rains. Later!

The only time a cop can LEGALLY pull you over for blackouts is at night. During the day, he can't because the lights are not in use. Drive with them at night, and you'll get a ticket for sure.
The only thing cops can harrass you about is tailight blackouts, for obvious reasons.

I think they look good
I had the headlight blackouts on mine a couple of months ago. I was going down a 2 lane highway doing 60 and a truck in the other lane went by and took my DS blackout with it. A bus that was behind me ran over it and it shattered. Oh, was I mad. I was only using the fclips to mount them. I liked the look of them, but I have a hard time seeing at night anyway, and for some reason mine were a pain to take off. I just drove with my brights on all the time. Now that they are gone, I have started looking into the clear ones. I saw them on an IROC, and they looked very cool and unique.

I have had the CLEAR headlight covers for a few weeks now and think they're AWESOME
. I feel they're much better looking than the blackout or carbon covers, plus no need to remove them at night! I have the GTS covers.
Also I got the new taillight covers (not blackout). They are made from a thinner stock then blackouts and have slots cut into them at an angle.
OK How do I show pictures?
