Hurst Comp/Plus T5 Shifter

Axle/Gears: 3.42
Hurst Comp/Plus T5 Shifter

I was on ebay last night and i saw an acution for a Hurst Comp+ shifter. But it was for a MUSTANG. My question is, Whats the difference between a MUSTANG T5 tranny and Our Firebird T5 tranny?? Can I buy the one for the MUSTANG for my Firebird?
