Attn ALL!

Anyone heard of the mercury marauder coming in 2004? Well, gm says screw mercury so their releasing a 2004 ONLY exact replica of the 1970 Chevelle SS, comes with a ls1 and t56 etc. Exterior will be an exact with some new things. COOL!

Just out of curiosity, can anyone explain how the new LS1's get 22mpg in city??!

That would be great to see!! But the way GM seems to put things off, it'll probably be more like 2008

Graeme,
What pub did you read this in?
Where locally can I rent a coil spring compressor?
Chevy has a 1970 Chevelle Convertible set up as the test bed for the 502 engine they sell over the counter.

Karl.. this isnt published, this is GM internal messaging. My step dad is high up through GM and Ford so i get info on both of them, they are only going to let the top grossing sales dealers (top 35) sell them too.. spring compressor? try northride equipment rentals. (phone book or 411)

I'll believe this one when I see it...they won't even make a 5th gen, and yet they're going to take a 32 yr old design and make it conform to crash/bodily injury standards? What platform is this thing going to based off of? You can't just take a 30 yr old design and produce it now with a modern engine.

I hate to be the pessimist here, but this sounds hardly likely
