Re: need input / no slaming!

I know the front nose skin on the 85 s/c is a 84 or so.The 89 fb dosnt have any pics yet.the interior is a little ruff on it.thinking about putting engine and tranny into the 85 s/c.pass fender onto the 86 silver/gray firebird and nose skin onto the 86 red fire bird. The red fb needs a clutch in that 5 speed. The headliner is good in that one and seats are fair but for the drivers tear on side.manuel windownws on this red 86 and the 85s/c. power windows on the 86 auto and 89fb.Got set of power red doors off the 90 bird.the 89 has a bow out at the mirror on the pass. side and the red 86 has the same thing on the drivers door.these are pics of the red 86

I would make a list of the pro's and con's of each car. Then sit down and mix and match different parts with the car they will fit. After an hour or so of mix and match I think the answers to what cars to fix should be a little clearer.

Yes! And an Excel spreadsheet would make that list a lot easier to manage.

Re: need input / no slaming!

Seriously though, I'd take the 86 with the 3.1, swap in the 5 speed, and a good fender. Then swap over anything else you'd like, interior bits and such. Sell the rest, put cash back into your one car for maximum effect.

Re: need input / no slaming!

thats one I havnt thought of.other than the head liner and seat covers the gray/silver 86 is preaty good inside.she needs fresh paint.I would like the 5 speed in her with a 3.4 and turbo it.Add a rear disk brake.I dont have one laying around but know where I can get another bird for under 5 thats got my fender and rear disk.good maron seats, carpet and oem floor matts with no stains or wear.I could pull the gray headliner out of the red 86 and overhead console out of the 85 s/c
