MPFI VS. Carb'ed?
MPFI VS. Carb'ed?
Which one do you like better and why? I noticed you can't get a MPFI intake manifold but you can get the carb'ed one and convert it. Which would be better for a quarter mile with a K&N cold air intake, delta 260 grind cam and pushrods and rockers, ported heads, and eventually a turbo? I have a 3.1 in my 1990 firebird auto

Stick with the MPFI bud. The carb in my mind has no benifits on our V6's compared to fuel injection else then mabey the looks if you like a top air cleaner.
Fuel injection can be easily tuned, better MPG's, and you can turbo it easily. And did I mention its reliable.

That was my thoughts on this as well, but i am inexperianced because i am only 15 and this will be the first car i call my own, so i wanted the opinion of somone more experianced. And a cold air intake gets more complicated when i have a carb as well

Yep , , Leave the Carbs back in the 1980s where they belong and embrace the MPFI ..... It's not as complicated as ya may think when seeing it for the first time ... Junior Member
