timing chain carnage

ok so my timing chain snapped. took out the damper too. my question is how great are my chances of having bent valves, push rods etc?? I was driving my gf home cruising at maybe 11-1200rpm (25mph). I wasn't in on the throttle or anything. then suddenly I had nothing.
I've read a few places that theres a chance I just broke the chain and that's as far as the damage went.. that on these motors its the high rpm that will destroy stuff.
I pulled the front cover already and have all the parts ready to order to simply do the chain and sprockets. I guess I'm just hoping someone has been in this low rpm situation before... but I have blindly turned it over a few times after. it just spun faster than usual. no bad sounding noises either.

also, if I do decide to fix it, if the valves etc are bent.. would I be able to just toss in some new valves and push rods? I'm unfortunately in a bind for cash and this is my daily driver Wisconsin beater.

thanks for any and all info in advance

Re: timing chain carnage

If you broke the chain... then you would not have broken valves or hurt internals of the valve train. When the chain broke the cam would have just stoped. So the valves would just stay where they were at. We have non interference engines so no worries there.

This. My old AMG has a interference motor, timing chain guide failed, and motor go boom.
