Vacuum lines
Vacuum lines
So I've searched through here for a few months for car advice, but find myself stumped so I finally created an account. The little vacuum lines that connect the egr and whatnot were cracked when I bought my 89 2.8. I've replaced them with pcv line and some pcv connectors and that's worked for now(besides trying to find connectors that fit perfect). Problem is to the little connector that goes just above/behind the throttle body broke. I shoved in some pcv connectors and that's worked, but now won't pass smog. My problem is, as someone who's learned about cars as mine has broke, I don't even know what this is called, nor where to find it. What I have found on here is that the preformed lines are pretty much irreplaceble because they're impossible to find. What can I do to replaced this? I check pick and pull regularly, but finding v6's is damn near impossible. Any advice? I'll try to post pics tomorrow of what I'm talking about.( warning the vac line job I've done is garbage, I've only been doing this for just under a year so trying to figure out the art of Macgyvering cars nicely is still coming along) plus this car was bought in fairly bad condition.
