I'm sure a 50 shot would be fine. Your motor has the forged pistons (started in '89), so you're ahead of the game already. The one major killer of nitrous (besides too much for the engine to handle) is low fuel pressure- if the engine starves for fuel while you're on the juice, you'll burn (melt thru the center of) a piston. An electic fuel pressure gauge is the usual "safeguard"- if fuel pressure gets to be too low, you shut the car off and coast the rest of the 1/4 mile.

With Forged pistons you can run 75-90HP.

Begin by doing a complete tune up, new fuel filter everything. Get a MSD 6A ignition box too. Then get a boost a pump and you'll be safe to run 75, 90HP shots....

Also known as a NOS fuel pressure cut off. Or oyu can even wire a separate O2 sensor for the safety cut off.
