Need help quick

My car has been having trouble starting once in a while so i went to replace the ignition module, cap and rotor today. I had no problems doing it, and when i put everything back on i went to start it and it wouldnt start. It was worse then before. My voltage was fine and it would start cranking fine, but then my voltage would drop like the battery was dead and the cranking would slow down, lights dim, then go back up, then back down, then back up. I still cant get it to start. It was too late to put the old stuff back in. What could be the problem. this was the first time ive done this, but im pretty sure i did it ok. i'm at school and i have to go home tomorrow. this sucks. i should have left it alone, it was starting all day. thanks guys.

Chris

Is your timing off? That what it sounds to me. The normal timing is 10degrees but many of us have ours set at 12 or 13 degrees

recharge the batt so you have a full charge when starting again.

How to swap plugs at cap like an idiot.
Because I am one & I did it WRONG & no start.
Remove old cap with all plug wires on it.
Move it forward/flip over, etc.
Insert new cap on dist.
Take one wire at a time and put on new cap, now on dist.
Simply match position for position.
Go to start car.
IF IT starts:
Then start on rest of your distb replacement part list.
ALWAYS check plug/wire swapping instantly, while your error is fresh in your mind.
You need fresh battery, now, too.
You need the pics for fixing.
#1 cylinder/plug is Passenger front.
While charging battery, find that plug wire/distributor pic and look at your work.
You'll make it run again.

Thanks for the help guys. It turns out that it was the plug wires. i did have them right according to chiltons. but my mechanic said that my distributor was off a tooth and the wires were compensated because of it. so the wires were one off too. thanks for all the help.
