Who Has Them??

i have been searching around and i cant find nobody with black c6 corvette rims... i got my hands on some silver c6 rims but i dont want them silver or polished aluminum or chrome... i want them to be black since i want the stealthy look on my car , since it has black stripes in all it will look good with black wheels. that's my first question if anybody has any pictures of the c6 rims in black mounted on a camaro. my second question is what finish should i have on them. gloss black? satin black? or.....

Re: Who Has Them??

Paint the spokes black, but leave the outer lip polished & shiny.

bless you my son... I have SCOURED the net looking for a black-NON Z06 C6 with black chrome stock NON Z06 wheels. You have delivered! I have been throwing the idea of getting them for my car... not the camaro... and wanted to see one THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

It looks amazing! Not bad price either $800+shipping, OEM wheels (core).

Now here is pic of my previous Corvette. These wheels used to be polished alum but I had them powder coated. $200 total and they looked amazing.

Next, you say you want OEM wheels, not replicas. The OEM C6 wheels are 18"/19" F/R respectively. Most C6 wheels on Camaros are replicas b/c of the sizing on the OEM Corvette wheels. Now, i suppose you could still mount the 19's or try to get a set of 4 front (18") wheels but thats you call. I have talked to Mike's Corvette's in Ill. and he claims replicas are just as good as OEM... not sure but I am going to go the OEM swap in lieu of replicas.

yea these pictures where somewhat hard to find it seems that that nobody wants to "mess up" their new c6 rims by painting them black......

about the c6 wheels im getting they are OEM c6 and im going to be getting them for $450 with tires....not a deal i can pass up.... do you think there is a problem fitting OEM 19" wheels in the back..... i heard 2" spacers all around will do the job...

The wheels I am getting are not "painted". They are actually tripple plated chrome. I called and got the skinny on them. They take stock wheels, painted, polished or factory chrome plated and strip them down to bare metal. Then there is a copper coat, a nickel coat and a "chrome" coat. The chrome coat apparently is clear just very glossy and the silver you see is the nickel below. That is how "chrome" wheels are made. To get black chrome, the nickel layer is actual black nickel, giving the shine and chrome apprearance on the angles but if you look dead on, they look black. The car you posted may be black chrome of just very glossy black paint but either way I love it. I am a chrome wheel hater (silver chrome) too much bling but the black is very... sinister is a good word. My car will look exactly like the one you posted minus the gran sport stripes.

For you fitting. I am sure it will fit no problems with the spacers, just not sure how it will look with 19 in the rear and 18 up front. You can def. tell the difference just by looking at the car. It will be your preference. Let us know how it comes out!
