I have a set of true spoke wheels on my 86 trans am. I know that true spoke wheels are very expensive and sought after. they are not in bad condition but there is a little bit of surface rust. I am trying to clean them up. I am trying to either find a place that will rechrome them and do a good job or a way to clean them up myself. Can you guys recomend a place in the washington area around vancover that would do a good job? i have been told by a guy in a chroming shop here in portland oregon that if i don't get a shop that is set up to do it and do a good job then i will have yellow spots of nickle left on the wheel. I am trying to do everything right on this car including the wheels. What do you guys suggest? I already called 2 places and they are hessitant to touch them. Buying new rims is out of the question. Not that I wouldn't but i don't have the money to spend on new true spoke rims.
