Velocity Iroc wheels any good???
Hey guys I'm really close to buying a set of chrome Irocs made by Velocity Wheel. They are 18 X 8.5 inches wide which is cool, I want them wider than stock. ( I know its not much wider) I want to go with 245/40 tires.
My question is does anyone have these same rims made by the same company etc... Are they any good? Any fitting issues?
I searched online and didnt find much info. I know AR makes a nice replica rim but I can get these pretty cheap from a buddy of mine.

I went to the west side of Detroit today, and he sells the 18's with 245/40 tires brand new for $1,100 out the door. I am concerned they aren't quality rims. Made in China. He says he warranties against chrome flaking or pitting for 2 years. That's not long.

I wouldn't worry too much...everything is made in China nowadays. I think if you dont abuse them the chrome should last longer then 2 yrs. From what I heard there all made by the same manufactuer and sold to companies like AR who then slap there logo on and charge you hundreds more...go figure!

You do realize you can run 245s on an 8" rim right, and I know that 16" iroc-z rims are 8" wide, so probably the 15s, and maybe the 14s are as well...
