Tire balancer stopped working
I think the circuit board fried or something. It runs forever saying "measuring" but won't stop. if I stop it manually, it reports zeros.
This is an old 80's MM203 machine. What do you guys think? Can it be repaired or should I junk it?

junk it, the old hunter 9000 series at my dads job stopped and it cost more than it was worth to repair/update the unit.

Re: Tire balancer stopped working
If I run it without anything on it, it comes back ZERO/ZERO. Looks good.
I then put a formula wheel and a new tire on it and it came back and said .25 oz right, 6.75 oz left..
That seems. Odd.

Re: Tire balancer stopped working
Take a wheel somewhere and have it balanced properly (no tire needed). Make sure they spin it, then turn 180* and spin again to be sure. Take that wheel and put it on yours and see.
There *should* be a calibration on most balancers, but one from that vintage is a little out of my league (I used them back then, but was only in my teens, so I didn't know all of the setup work).
