I just wanted to post this for anyone looking to get new parts REALLY cheap.

Last week my radiator formed a leak on one of the sides. My radiator is aluminum/plastic (plastic on the sides for those who don't know). One of the plastic sides had cracked.

Wednesday I went to AutoZone and got one for $139.99 + $9.80tax = $149.79.

That night I went online and found www.rockauto.com

They had a radiator for my car in stock that cost me $95.74 + $11.65 shipping = $107.39

I saved $42.40!!!!!! :rockon:

At this point in time, $42.40 is a lot of money for me. I haven't won the lotto yet, if ya know what I mean? I took the AutoZone one back.

I ordered it Wed. night at about 7:30pm and it showed up at my house at about 3pm Friday. That's fast

Plus they have a lot of stuff for every make and model. Another thing I need is rear wheel bearings for my wife's car. It's a 1993 Mazda MX6. AutoZone wants $119 /ea!!!!!! Rock Auto wants $65/ea. That's about half the price!!!

dam... i work for a parts store (strauss discount auto) and dam!... but i get 20% off but still that is some good stuff right there... thats cause parts stores gotta get some

I am always up for a good deal but just wondering what brands that this place carries. Sometimes white box no name on the package parts end up costing you more in the long run. I am in no way bashing this place or you for finding it. I am gonna go check it out now. Thanks for the link. -John

 

I've bought quite a few things off them. I can say that the radiator was a "white box" as 383 rocket bird said, but I haven't had any probs with it. It's held up fine so far.

I've also ordered about 6 parts for my wife's Mazda MX6. The parts have all been name brands, but none I've ever heard of because this is my first time buying import car parts. Like rear wheel bearings? I only knew of axle bearings.

The only thing I found to be cheaper at AutoZone or anywhere else was the 02 sensors for the Mazda. They were $65/ea at AutoZone for Bosch, and RockAuto.com wanted $119/ea for some other brand. But that's the only part I've yet to find to be cheaper elsewhere.
