Gettin Some Air!
I have some videos here of Corkvette1's, 85vette, and my car at Etown.
Upon reviewing the videos of my car. I pulled the front off the ground! The conversion from .avi to . wmv looses quality, but if you can take your eyes off the girl taking pictures(who is that?) , you can see my front comes right off the ground upon launch!
Just a few notes on the day. First was I had to run my restrictive exhaust, hence my slower than normal times. Traction was hit or miss all day. As you can see I have a 11.50 dial, since the previous runs my car was all over the place on launches (poor traction). This time obviously I hooked it good and couldn't slow down enough to save the breakout.
Corky ran pretty good all day. 11.1x's for most of the runs. He can jump in and give his own breakdown of the events if he likes.
And Jim Cummings, 85vette, also made the journey to try out his new 383 setup that Corky and I have been helping him with. Jim made some very nice improvements throughout the day. This particular run he ran 12.7s, but later in the day after becoming a little more aggresive on the 4+3, he shaved off another 3/10s for a 12.4sec ET In some better weather, that day if was 90F+, I think he will be very close to or in the 11s.
Here are the videos. They are each about 3 megs, but well worth the wait for the download. I did not want to crunch them any more or the quality really falls off.
Here you have them:
Jesse's run: http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c4/ski...s/jesvet_2.wmv
Corky's: http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c4/ski...y_s_vet__1.wmv
Jim's: http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c4/ski..._-_jim_s_c.wmv
Let me know what you guys think! Can you see the wheels come off?
