Speedo Question from ECM - Third Generation F-Body Message Boards

The problem I am having is kinda different. I pulled the stock 145mph dash board from my camaro approx 14 years ago and installed a cyberdyne digital dash. Until recently I didn't notice until I hooked up a snap-on scantool to my car that when I am driving around I don't get a MPH reading. When you install the Cyberdyne digital dash, you have to remove the speedo cable because you it uses it's own sensor which screws onto the drive gear coming from the output shaft housing. Here is what I would like to do and correct me if this might be wrong.

I would like to take the 2 wires from the sensor on the trans and run them directly into the ecm, Which is now a 1227749 and pin it into the VSS in and then take the VSS out of the ecm and run it directly into the Cyberdyne dash assembly.

I currently have a dash reading, but the ecm doesn't see any speed. So this is messign with Acceleration and decel and torque readings on the ecm. I have been burning my chips for almost 1 year now and would like the full functionality of this..

I haven't looked at the schematics, but maybe the trans sensor is of the inductive kind, and the Cyberdyne can use this (weak) signal, but the ECM expects an amplified signal (from an optical sensor in the original dash?)?
