electric windows help
ok I have a 87 firebird and its got manual windows..I was wonder how much it'll cost to put electric ones in and how hard it would b and is it worth doin the reason I wanna do it is so I can put aluminum door panels in without the stop window handle if not o well I'll just get ones made for manual windows

Just get the electric windows regulators, motors, and connectors for the motors. Its pretty much a bolt in affair, the front 2 bolts closest to the motor will bolt straight in. the rear two may or may not bolt in. Some 3rd gens have the holes already drilled, others do not (mine did not). So if not just drill the two extra holes needed to mount the regulator. Then its just a matter of wiring in the switches and power. Pretty straight forward swap.
Just finished swapping mine from manual to electric and I just drilled the two extra holes per door then ran the wiring. I now have perfectly working electric windows.

stay with the manuals,power windows on these cars suck,their really slow.
