Help

hey im new to this site and need alot of help on my 86 camaro....im in my last year of highschool and live with a friend because both parents moved and need realiable transportation I bought the car with a 350 from a blazer....came with the car because the 305 thats in there has knock..... so im alittle stuck....would i be better off putting the 350 in and if so what will i need and what can i keep from the 305 to make the 350 swap easier ........I just really need this car running right ......any thing will help thanks.

you can keep everything but the short-block, if the 350 has dished pistons. If the cam is mild enough, you can even drive it with the 305's carb, computer, et cetera. The more 305 stuff you use, the easier, but it means more money in gaskets. Also, you may run into issues with the flywheel or flexplate and starter. Pull the 305 out, then do some comparing.
